Best Spots to Explore in Ontario
Sometimes we get so focused on planning trips far away that we forget just how much there is to explore close to home.
Ontario is an incredible province for travel. From beautiful lakes and forests to charming towns, vineyards, waterfalls, and vibrant cities, there are so many places to discover — and you don't necessarily need to board a plane to get there.
One of my favourite things about Ontario travel is how easy it is to create completely different types of vacations. You can plan a relaxing weekend by the lake, an outdoor adventure, a food and wine getaway, or a family road trip.
If you're looking for some inspiration for your next Ontario getaway, here are some of the spots I'd put on your list.

When Is the Best Time to Explore Ontario?
The best part about Ontario is that every season offers something different. Spring offers waterfalls, gardens, and warmer weather, making it a great time for exploring. Summer is perfect for cottage country, beaches, boating, hiking, and road trips. Fall is one of my favourite times to travel within Ontario thanks to the incredible fall colours. Winter offers a variety of ski resorts, cozy accommodations, skating, and winter adventures that make for a completely different experience.
